PLN eyes 5 WKPs more with potency around 500 MW of 1948,5 MW install capacity of geothermal power plant, PLN manage 554 MW consist of 12,5 MW Upstream and 541,5 MW Downstream only.

Founded on July 5, 2002, PT. Geo Dipa Energi has since dedicated itself to capitalizing the economical and environmental value of geothermal energy. Leveraging the vast capacity of their power generator projects in Dieng and Patuha with potential energy being 400 MW of each. Geo Dipa Energi strives to meet national electrical power demand by capitalizing on the cost-efficient and environmental qualities of geothermal energy.
Geo Dipa Energi was a joint subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT PLN (Persero), a leading state-owned enterprise in energy exploration and generation with proven experience in developing and operating geothermal power plants. In February 2011, the composition of the Company's shareholders has been changed, whereby PT Pertamina's shares were taken over by the Government of Indonesia. As a consequence from that corporate action, in December 2011, Geo Dipa Energi transform into a new State-Owned Company.
Geo Dipa Energi develop 4 WKPs and 2 (two) of these are Patuha and Dieng has been fully managed by Geo Dipa Energi. These WKPs namely (1) Pangalengan (Patuha): 55 MW, (2) Dieng: 60 MW, (3) Candi Umbul Telomoyo, (4) G. Arjuno Welirang. Geo Dipa Energi have been production with a total capacity of 115 MW.

PT. Pertamina Geothermal Energy is one of the largest geothermal energy resources companies in Indonesia. The Company is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) with PT Pertamina Dana Ventura. The company does business in geothermal energy utilizations.
When established in 2006, PGE was mandated by the government to develop 15 Geothermal Business Working Areas in Indonesia. PGE has management rights to 15 Geothermal Working Areas (WKPs) with a total potential of 8,480 MW equivalent to 4,392 MMBOE. Out of the 15 WKPs, 10 WKPs are managed by PT PGE alone, namely (1) Seulawah Agam, (2) Sibayak-Sinabung: 12 MW, (3) Sungai Penuh, (4) Hululais, (5) Lumut Balai-Margabayur, (6) Ulubelu: 220 MW, (7) Kamojang: 235 MW, (8) Karaha: 30 MW, (9) G. Lawu, (10) Lahendong: 120 MW. Five of these areas have been in production with a total capacity of 617 MW.
